Super Bowl XLVI expected to showcase movie trailers from anticipated 2012 films
While fans here in New York and the neighboring New England area are buzzing about today's Super Bowl (and for good reason), audiences across the country have another reason to tune in regardless of who’s playing. Just as much a part of the Super Bowl Sunday as the game itself are the commercials that air during it and Hollywood is no stranger to the festivities.
Last year film studios aired trailers for (a record) 14 different movies over the course of the big game, including across both the pre-game and post-game slots. This year that number is expected to be much less as only a handful of distributors have bought time.
Universal, the partner of host network NBC, has reportedly bought time with plans to showcase a undisclosed numbers of movies, which could include summer tentpoles “Battleship” and the Matt Damon-less “The Bourne Legacy.” “Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax,” “American Reunion” and Seth MacFarlane’s “Ted’ are also possibilities. Although it wouldn’t be unheard of to run ads for all five as Paramount did it last year and combined those films grossed close to $1 billion.影视帝国香港热片
